Germain Racing
The Germain Motor Company has been involved in Motorsports for over 30 years, sponsoring teams in the Goody’s Dash Series, ARCA Remax Series, Hooters Pro Cup Series, NASCAR Busch and Nextel Cup Series.  Germain Racing was officially formed in August of 2004, when Germain brothers Bob, Steve and Rick got together in Concord, North Carolina with Crew Chief, Mike Hillman, Sr. and Driver Todd Bodine.  They formed a team to represent Toyota Racing Development (TRD) in NASCAR’s Craftsman Truck Series.

The #30 Toyota Tundra Team’s success was unprecedented in 2004, winning 2 out of the first 8 races it competed in, with four top-five and five top-10 finishes.  After bringing home Toyota’s first win of 2005 at Kansas, a second win came at Las Vegas and the team wrapped up the season with three more wins in the three final races of the season.  Todd Bodine and the No. 30 Germain Motor Co. Toyota Tundra Team earned a total of five wins in the 2005 season.  Todd finished third in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series driver championship points, making Germain Racing one of the truck series elite teams.

Germain Racing is a participant in Toyota Racing Development (TRD), Inc’s engine lease program.  Engines are leased from the manufactures while TRD provides valuable engineering and at-track technical support.  “The Germain Family is extremely excited to represent Toyota in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series,” said Bob Germain, vice president of Germain Motor Company.  “Germain Racing has the experience and the resources necessary to ensure the team’s success.”

Mike Hillman, Sr.
The Germain Racing Team is lead by General Manager, Mike Hillman, Sr. who helped create the team in 2004.  Mike has been involved in NASCAR racing for over 17 years.  Throughout his career he has worked as a crew chief and general manger in NASCAR’s Nextel Cup, Busch and Craftsman Truck Series.  He has worked with such drivers as Dick Trickle, Kyle Petty, Joe Nemechek, Robby Gordon and Brett Bodine.  In 1988 Mike earned a NASCAR Busch Grand National Championship for car owner John Jackson with driver Tommy Ellis. Mike’s ability to build winning teams and organizations has made him one of best in the business.

Mike Hillman, Jr.
Mike Hillman, Jr., Crew Chief of No. 30 Germain Motor Company Toyota Tundra brings the Hillman family racing tradition with him to the team.  Both Todd Bodine and Mike Hillman, Jr. have formed a winning combination over the past several months.  Hillman Jr.’s experience as a car chief, working with such drivers as Greg Biffle, Larry Foyt and Brett Bodine along with the guidance of Mike Hillman, Sr. has helped mold him into one of the top crew chief’s in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series.  In 2005, Mike Hillman, Jr. took home the International Truck Crew Chief Award

Germain Motor Company
Germain Racing debuted in the NCTS at Richmond in 2004.  Germain racing is affiliated with Germain Motor Company owned and operated by the Germain brothers - Bob, Steve and Rick Germain. The Germain Motor Company collectively owns 15 dealerships, representing 12 different manufacturers in Columbus, OH, Naples, FL, Sarasota, FL, and Bentonville, AR.  Over the years the Germain Motor Company has sponsored cars in the Goody's Dash Series, ARCA Series, NASCAR Busch Series, NASCAR Nextel Cup Series as well as trucks in the Craftsman Truck Series.

Toyota Racing Development (TRD)
In June 2000, when Juan Montoya took the checkered flag at The Milwaukee Mile in his Toyota-powered Champ Car, he made history by recording the first CART victory by an American-designed and built engine in 20 years. The win was significant in helping establish Toyota Racing Development (TRD) U.S.A., Inc., as the premier race-engine facility in the United States. TRD's operation is the only one of its kind in the U.S. that has complete design, development and assembly capabilities under one roof.

A subsidiary of Toyota Motor Sales (TMS), U.S.A., Inc., TRD serves a dual capacity for Toyota. In addition to being the North American racing arm for design, development and assembly of Toyota's racing engines, TRD also functions as the source of high-performance aftermarket products for Toyota, Scion and Lexas vehicles. From street performance to grassroots-racing parts, TRD plays an important role in providing Toyota with an enhanced image.

Celebrating its 25th anniversary in 2004, TRD's initial facility in Gardena, California, was established in 1979 as a performance-parts distributor in the United States for TRD Japan. From its modest beginnings with a staff of less than 20, TRD U.S.A. has grown to become a world-class race-engine facility and performance aftermarket sales organization employing more than 250 people.

Since its inception as an affiliate company under the direction and leadership of TMS, TRD has worked closely with Toyota's Motorsports department on various U.S.-based racing programs including the Indy Racing League (IRL) IndyCar Series, NASCAR Goody's Dash Series, off-road racing, import drag racing, Grand Am sports cars, and the new NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series program.

Toyota and TRD have produced many noteworthy accomplishments over the past 25 years on the American racing scene. The 2003 Indianapolis 500 victory is the crown jewel in a long line of historic victories for TRD-built Toyota engines. Toyota powered vehicles have also registered wins in the Daytona 24 Hours, the 12 Hours of Sebring, the Pikes Peak International Hill Climb, the Baja 500 and the Baja 1000. The significant race wins go hand-in-hand with manufacturer's championships in IRL, CART, IMSA GTP and GTO, and CORR, SCORE and MTEG off-road competition.

In 2003, Toyota made its initial entry into the IRL IndyCar Series and was triumphant in 11 of the season's 16 races, including a one-two finish in the manufacturer's first-ever Indianapolis 500. In addition, Toyota clinched its first IRL IndyCar Series Engine Manufacture's Championship and driver's championship with Scott Dixon of Target Chip Ganassi Racing.

Among Toyota's and TRD's recent accomplishments are driver's championships in the CART series in 2002, NASCAR Goody's Dash Series in 2003, import drag racing (four class championships from 2002 to 2003), and the CORR off road series (seven straight driver's and manufacturer's titles). In its first year of competition Toyota claimed two victories in the ultra-competitive NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series.
